Miracles on Miracles on Miracles

heyyy!!!

so this week was way good. miracles on miracles on miracles.

let's start with the big one... remember that girl Dominique I talked about last week? she's the one who we met on Sunday and she accept the invitation to be baptized on May 2nd? well, we invited her to pray to make sure that was the right day. on monday night we had another lesson with her and one of the first things she said was, "so I prayed about it and I think I should get baptized THIS Saturday instead." WHATTTT!! but she has taken the lessons three times before, she reads the Book of Mormon and know it's true, and she attends church regularly (since quarantine her friend has helped her get the Sacrament each week!) she said, "I know baptism is right for me, so I don't want to give Satan any time to try to stop me from doing it," how cool??!! so we made a plan to teach everything in about 5 days haha! we met with her everyday and helped her gain a stronger testimony of these things she's already been taught, and then on Saturday she entered the waters of baptism! ah man it was so cool. even though quarantine baptisms are super different and small, they are so special. it's a reminder to me that baptism is so personal. you don't need a big program, or party, what makes it special are the sacred covenants being made with God! I got to be the witness as she went down into the water and came back up again. I am excited for Dominique to start this new chapter in her life. she loves church because it was her "safe haven" during a hard and scary time during her life. now that she has the gift of the Holy Ghost, she can feel that way anywhere, as long as she lives worthy of having the Spirit with her. I know this decision will bless her and her family now and for eternity! I am grateful Heavenly Father placed her in my path. she is a miracle.

we had zone conference this week! it was def different than most zone conferences... it was over zoom!! we had two sessions with a lunch break in between haha kinda felt like general conference. it was really good to hear from President and Sister Call, I just love them! I left with a renewed testimony that Heavenly Father is very aware and that the here and now is not always just for the here and now. it is for what will and can happen in the future. us missionaries liked the old way of knocking doors! but He has a more excellent way in mind. even after all this is over, we will keep using the skils we are learning now to progress the work. the here and now is not always for the here and now.

Sister Loudin and I have been trying to get out of the house more! we went for a bike ride around a cute little duck pond by our apartment just as the sun was setting. it sounds funny, but that was a miracle to me. it's the little things I guess.

last miracle, I feel like all our friends we had lessons with this week were so much happier. they smiled more and were excited about talked and learning more about Jesus Christ. that was huge to me. Jesus Christ will bring us joy even in this crazy time.

don't forget to look for the miracles in your life this week. they're there, we just have to open our eyes and hearts to see them.

I hope you all stay happy, healthy and safe. sending my love from Layton, UT!

a very blessed,
Sister Keeler
