It's about Him!

Hello friends and family!! It's been a while... I don't think I have sent out a group email all transfer.... whoops!! Well, we are three weeks into the transfer and everything is going great! I got ANOTHER companion, but this time this one isn't fresh from the MTC! haha I am back with Sister Bravo! We were comps when I spent that one transfer in Clinton! it has been so fun to be together again! we picked up right where we left off and didn't have to spend hardly anytime adjusting to each other! We have been having tons of fun together. We are still in the Bountiful YSA stake. people see me and say, "You're STILL here??!" yes, yes I am. by the end of this transfer it will be over 10 months in the stake. that's a long time! good thing I like it!!

we have been working real hard in the area and with all our sisters! here are some updates! remember Franklin??? sad news :( he's 33. that's sad because since we're seving in the YSA, we have a very narrow range of people we can teach. they have to be between the ages of 18-30 and unmarried, so since we found out Franklin was 33, we had to pass him off to the sisters who cover the mid singles ward (31-45 year olds). Passing off is always hard, but Franklin is still working towards batismo and coming closer to Jesus Christ!!! I am so happy for him and proud of all the progress he has made! We are blessed for doing what's right, even when it's hard, so I am confident that Heavenly Father will bless our area for handing off our most progressing investigator!!
this transfer has been fun because we have gotten to go on lots of exchanges!! We just went on one on Saturday and I got to spend the day in Morgan, Utah. I had no idea where the heck that was, but it is on the other side of the mountains, about a 40 minute drive through the canyon. When we got there, it was BEAUTIFUL. such a cute little town!!! way cold and snowy too! 95% of the people are members of the church... but still there are lots of people being prepared to accept the restored Gospel. proof that Utah is still the mission field!!!

Also, Merry late Christmas everyone!! I am used to spending Christmas in big gatherings in familiar homes surrounded by people I love. this Christmas was definitely different, but so wonderful too. I spent it away from my family with people I only met not too long ago, but it was still a great celebration. we watched the Christ Child video-- which is so good! go watch it!! the spirit imediately filled the room and filled me!!! I remembered why I wasn't at my counsin's house, or why I hadn't gone to look at Christmas lights with my family, or why in the world I wasn't spending Christmas in sunny CA.. it's because of that tiny baby! Christmas isn't about things or traditions, it's about Him, our Savior! His birth, His life and His sacrifice. He is the light, the life and the hope of the world! His way is the path that leads to happiness in this life and Eternal Life in the world to come. God be thanked for the matchless gift of His Divine Son!!

I love you all!!!
