Sacred Ground

YOU ALL WILL NEVER BELIEVE THIS... BUT I'M GETTING TRANSFERRED! 😮 I was born in the Bountiful YSA stake and have served EIGHT transfers here. It's been a long time but a good time!! I've been in the stake longer than a lot of the members 😂 I love YSA because it's where young adults can serve & love our fellow men & how we can be prepare for future responsibilities as leaders of the church!! I know our future is in good hands. The young adults of this church are converted and capable, I have seen that first hand. 

Mosiah 18 is like my fave chapter in the Book of Mormon rn! verse 30 really stuck out to me this time around. In this chapter, hundreds of people are being baptized by Alma in "Mormon, by the waters of Mormon, near the forest of Mormon.." which was probably just a regular, not super noteworthy place, until the people made covenants there. Then, it became "beautiful to the eyes of them who there came to the knowledge of their Redeemer." That's like me with Bountiful. it's here that I have come to know my Savior. I've spent the past year here loving, serving and testifying. There have been days full of success and days where I've triumphed. I've felt Heavenly Father's love stronger here than anywhere else. I've been full of JOY and love. But there have also been some not so good days. I've shed lots of tears here. I've felt tired, cold and lonely. Some days I've hit a wall and thought I couldn't go on! But that's when I've dropped to my knees and gotten to know my Savior. Without Him, I could not do this! I am eternally grateful for my loving Father and brother, Jesus Christ. I would be lost without them. I'm grateful for this area because it's what has helped me come to know them personally. I can never look at this place the way I did before, it is beautiful to my eyes! Bountiful is just a regular, not super noteworthy town to you, but it is sacred ground to me 💖

I will miss my friends LOTS! but I am excited for what is in front of me. I'm heading to the Layton Hills stake and I'm going to be in a trio!!! I didn't expect that at all, but I'm looking forward to the change. I know it will help me grow even more!
