So much service
Hey everyone!!
Not gonna lie... this week was a little slow. Basically all of our lessons cancelled, it was such a bummer!! But that gave us lots of time to find new people ( none of which were YSA so we have to pass them off :( ) and do service! My mission is piloting doing ten hours of service a week, which is hard to reach, but we did it this week!! WOOOHOOO!! We helped at the local food pantry, cleaned the church and helped a widow move. She lived through the Great Depression so after that she basically never threw anything away. Twenty missionaries, a couple hours and a whole dumpster later, we got her all moved out!
We did have a miracle on Saturday!! Someone we are teaching, who we have been trying to set up a lesson with ALL transfer, had a tiny bit of free time, so we were able to meet with him for a bit! It was only for about 20 minutes and in a Smith's grocery store parking lot, but it was something! haha that may sound small to you all, but Sister Whetten and I were so pumped after! He also said "Hey I haven't been to church in a while, I should probably go back"... YEAH haha sometimes all people need is a reminder :)
This week I finished the Book of Mormon! Wow it is such a wonderful book full of peace, light, hope and most of all LOVE! From the Book of Mormon, I have come to know that Heavenly Father is aware of all of His children and that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world. If you're reading it, keep going!!! If you haven't read it in a while, start today! It will change your life, I promise!
Hope you all have a wonderful week!! Sending lots of love from Bountiful, UT!
love, Sister Keeler
