A ton of Heart

Hi friends!

Everything here in Clinton is just lovely!

We had the wonderful opportunity to bring two of our investigators to General Conference this weekend!

First, we went to the Saturday Morning Session with our friend Lexi. She is the cutest and loves attending primary and learning about Jesus Christ. Lexi was so excited for Conference! She wore her fanciest red, sparkly velvet dress, curled her hair and bought a brand new journal so that she could take notes! Our seats were reallll goooood too-- we were about 15 rows away from the prophet!! The Spirit was so strong as the leaders of our church spoke and she felt it! She even sang along with the Tabernacle Choir when they sang 'I am a Child of God'! My heart was so happy when I realized the voice I heard singing along was Lexi's! It was so cute!

I loved Elder Uchtdorf's talk from that session because he talked about missionary work and how everyone has a part to play in the gathering of Israel. He listed 5 things that everyone can do to be a missionary.... go read it!! and then go do the five simple things he suggests!

On Sunday we took our friend Surmi, her brother, MG, and mom, Janina, to the afternoon session. Surmi and MG were so excited to be in the same room as the prophet, they couldn't believe it! None of them had ever been to temple square before, so after the conference was over, we walked around the temple grounds and went to the visitor's center. We looked at the pictures of Jesus in the visitor's center, talked about what was going on in each picture and then made our way to the big statue of Christ. MG looked at me, and with a huge smile on his face yelled, "I love Jesus!" Haha!

I love Jesus too! I really do! I am so grateful for the Gospel in my life, to know that I have a Father in Heaven who loves me and to be able to share that knowledge with others. I am not a perfect missionary, but like Elder Uchtdorf said, "the Lord has never required perfect, flawless missionaries, He only requires the heart." Well I have a ton of heart! I love these people I am teaching and my Heavenly Father with all my heart!
