She loves Horses
Hey there!! Another great week in Bountiful!
On Wednesday I will have been out here for a month!! WHATTT?? time is flying by already. I can't believe it.
This week was great! except for MORE SNOW! WHEN WILL IT END?? My companion and I went into the church to study and came out to WHITE! UGH we were so mad haha! That same day I saw a double rainbow though, I think it was God's way of reminding me that good things come after the rain (or snow) I am anxious for spring!!!
We did a lot of teaching this week. I love teaching! and helping people realize the purpose of why we are here.
Let me tell you about my new friend!! Sister Musick and I have been teaching a less active member named Taylor. As missionaries our purpose is to teach nonmembers, but we felt impressed to share a message with him one night and he asked us if we could teach him the lessons as if he were a nonmember. So, we have been meeting with him every Saturday morning for the past month.
A couple of weeks ago, our lesson was about the Atonement and repentance. Taylor completely opened up to us about his struggles and addictions and about how much he wanted to change. We just tesified about how Jesus Christ suffered and died for us so that we can become better and that Heavenly Father will help us in that process because He loves us! It was so powerful and the Spirit was so strong! Taylor basically comitted himself to make major changes in his life, and so far he has stayed true to those promises. We are so happy for him!
On Sunday, we sat with him at church and were with him as he took the Sacrament for the first time in 5 years! The Atonement is so powerful and has the ability to change our lives if we let it. Oh my goodness I felt the love that Heavenly Father has for him in that moment!
The Atonement is real! The Gospel brings us happiness! and Heavenly Father loves you!
That's it for this week, folks! I love you all!!
