Week one in the MTC

HELLO!

Ahhhhhh it feels like I have been gone for a million years but also two days. Time is weird. But I'm good and it’s all good here at the MTC!

Not gonna lie, the first couple days were rough because you're just thrown in the middle of it and the schedule is so strict and I was just exhausted! But it's gotten better now that we have the schedule down!

The MTC is awesome! It's like a little bubble it doesn't feel like I am even in Provo, so close to where I spent so much time in the past year plus! Its wild!

I see Brendan all the time!!!!! Its so fun!! and Tiffany!!! It makes me feel much better knowing there are people here that make it feel a little more like home.

The spirit is so strong EVERYWHERE! we are constantly praying - seriously I have never said this many prayers in my life! - and studying our scriptures! I am learning so much and have gained such an appreciation for the Book of Mormon. Even more than before! We get to study it for an hour everyday and sometimes I don't feel like that's long enough!

We basically spend the whole day learning how to teach and how to use our phones. My comp and I have taught a few bomb lessons and a couple lessons that we straight bombed ... hahaha were getting better though!!! My companion is from Georgia and has super curly hair and is obsessed with cats haha. She is super sweet and really sassy and energetic. Lol we're getting along which is good. There's a cat that lives at the MTC so whenever we see her we both freak out. I took a pic with her.

My district is so fun!!! Half of us are going to Layton and then the other half is going to Ventura! Basically I am the oldest one by far. Pretty much all the boys came straight out of high school, they graduated this past June so needless to say they are quite immature. I feel really old sometimes hahaha. But they're fun!! I loooooveeee all the sisters! They’re all so sweet and we’ve become besties basically!! I guess that what happens when you spend 24/7 LITERALLY with someone!!! It’s fun! Yesterday we were supposed to be planning a lesson, but we couldn't focus we were laughing so hard, not sure at what... but we were dying! It felt good to laugh because things can get really stressful here! We have all been feeling it. But we just keep going because it will get easier!!!

This Tuesday was the best day!!! We had a devotional and they announced that it was going to be broadcast to all the other MTC's... do you know what that means???? It’s an Apostle!!!! Then they announced that ELDER HOLLAND WAS COMING. We all couldn't hold in our excitement! We literally cheered! Seriously his talk was incredible! He talked about how much the mission will bless us as long as we are obedient and keep pushing! He basically said "you can do it and you will do it because it's true and God will help you". The advice I loved the most was one that President Monson told him when he was called as an apostle. He said, "be yourself, be your BEST self, but be yourself" I loved that! That's kind of what the MTC is doing to us... helping us become our best selves! I love it! I was in the choir so I got to sing for him!!!! It was amazing. and he said exactly what I needed to hear.

Linds wasn't being that dramatic when she said it was hard. It is!!! And I have only been here a week!! But I know that God will help me through because He wants me to be here!!!

I love being a missionary and wearing this tag!! I feel powerful!! lol
